A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in working with K-12 students is needed for a full-time position, with part-time candidates welcomed, in Carteret, NJ. This contract role spans the full school year (CSY) within a dynamic school district serving elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing speech and language therapy in school settings, especially with pediatric populations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working as an SLP in schools and with pediatric clients
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse student needs
  • Familiarity with managing caseloads in educational environments

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located in Carteret, NJ
  • The caseload includes approximately 30 students
  • Work schedule consists of 6.5 hours/day (8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), totaling 32.5 hours per week
  • Services are provided across three schools within two miles of each other: two elementary schools and one middle school
  • Four days are spent at elementary schools, with one day at the middle school

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track student outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
