Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – K-12 School – Carthage, NY
Position Duration: September 2025 – June 2026 (Contract)
Location: Carthage, NY – A charming community in Upstate New York
Role Overview:
This role supports a caseload of approximately 28 students, primarily elementary-aged with some high school students. Responsibilities include assessment, delivering individualized speech and language therapy, and collaborating with educators and families to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational regulations
