In this contract position, professionals will provide essential speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting. This role is designed for clinicians who are committed to enhancing the communication skills of students from diverse backgrounds during the extended school year.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on K-12 education
  • Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working with students with various speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of relevant state and school district regulations
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Location:

  • Pawtucket, RI

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to individual students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students’ overall development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services in accordance with established schedules
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
