As a vital member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students to overcome communication challenges and succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students in a school-based setting, addressing a diverse range of communication disorders and delays.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique goals.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to improve students' speech, language, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to student support and intervention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports, in compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for Virginia state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Clinical Fellows must have completed their Master’s degree and be enrolled in or eligible for participation in a clinical fellowship program
- CCC-SLPs must hold ASHA certification and Virginia state licensure.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required
