A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in Gary, IN. This role focuses on delivering high-quality speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapies to school-aged children, contributing to their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing functions.
- Monitor student progress, modify treatment approaches as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide education and support to students, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and goals.
- Collaborate closely with educators and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Active or pending state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience in pediatric settings and working with school-age populations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Availability for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Ability to provide both direct and indirect services.
