Exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to provide targeted speech services in a K-12 educational setting. This part-time position involves delivering essential support to a student requiring 30 minutes of speech services each week.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- Experience in healthcare and/or school settings
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and related services
Location:
- Newport News, VA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine the speech and language needs of the student
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide 30-minute weekly speech services, ensuring consistent support
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate speech services into the student’s learning
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding the student’s development
