An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled candidate seeking to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 educational setting. This position is designed for the 2025/2026 school year and will involve working across two school locations in Elgin, IL, focusing on the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Valid PEL License
- IDFPR Issued SLP License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy, particularly in school settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location: Elgin, IL (servicing Oak Lawn and Plainfield schools)
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate effective communication strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
