A full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a therapeutic day school in Chicago, IL. This contract position supports K-12 students with autism, intellectual disabilities, social and emotional challenges, serving a caseload of approximately 20-30 students. The term runs from August 12, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with extended school year services from June 22 to July 17, 2026.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering speech therapy services tailored to students’ unique needs. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and behavioral interventions is strongly preferred. While onsite presence is highly desired, virtual service delivery will be considered closer to the start of the school year.
Qualified candidates should possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and have experience working in either healthcare or educational settings. Experience with teletherapy, pediatrics, and working with children on the autism spectrum or with intellectual disabilities is advantageous.
Key Qualifications:
