Apply NowThis in-person position offers an opportunity to work as a Speech Language Pathologist serving elementary school students ages 5-11. The role is based at a single elementary school in Chicago, IL, providing a consistent environment to support student communication development.
Position Details:
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Setting: Elementary School (ages 5-11)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.
- Weekly Hours: 35 hours
- Duration: January 5, 2026 – April 27, 2026
- Caseload: Approximately 42-50 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Support language development and communication skills for elementary students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to student progress on IEP goals
- Conduct speech and language assessments and prepare detailed evaluation reports
- Collaborate effectively with student IEP teams, parents, and school staff to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required
- Experience working in an elementary school setting providing speech-language pathology services
- Familiarity with IEP development, evaluation, and data collection procedures
