A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a full school year in Clifton Park, NY. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to provide speech and language support to students, helping them improve communication skills in a collaborative educational environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions focusing on articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and treatment strategies.
  • Participating in professional development and team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with various treatment approaches, including AAC, PROMPT, and social communication interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently with organized record-keeping and time management.
