A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting located in Clint, TX. This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY), supporting students from PreK through 12th grade with a primary focus on high school students. The role requires addressing a significant backlog of cases due to an extended period without speech services and delivering comprehensive communication interventions and Individualized Education Program (IEP) support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to PreK–12 students, addressing a wide range of communication disorders.
  • Manage a caseload that varies depending on assignment, with primary assignments including: • High school caseload approximately 64 students with an accumulated service backlog. • K–8 caseload approximately 40 students, addressing a shorter gap in service delivery.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in compliance with educational standards.
  • Complete thorough documentation, including IEP updates and service records.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and reintegration into regular service cycles.
  • Deliver full-day coverage as part-time scheduling with partial day attendance is not permitted.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State Speech Language Pathology license.
  • Experience preferred in school settings, with caseload management from early childhood to high school.
  • Ability to manage substantial caseloads and backlog efficiently.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an emphasis on documentation.
  • Bilingual skills are valued but not mandatory.

Work Details:

  • Location: Clint, TX (Lower Valley south of I-10 or northeast of I-10 depending on placement).
  • Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week, full-day shifts.
  • Contract duration through June 12, 2026, with an immediate start date.
