A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Converse, TX. This is a contract role covering a leave, with a focus on providing specialized speech and language support to young students.

  • Weekly hours: 40 hours per week
  • Daily schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP certification and licensure for school settings
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational environments
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and documentation procedures aligned with school protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students based on individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and evaluate communication needs, develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach
