An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on K-12 settings. This contract position is located in Gainesville, GA, and spans the school year, allowing for a meaningful impact on students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly K-12.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Location: Gainesville, GA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with education staff.
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
