A contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide onsite services in an elementary school setting serving students from PreK through 6th grade. This role is based in Daphne, AL, and offers a schedule of three days per week with the potential to increase to full-time. The contract term begins in January and continues through the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP (CCC, CFY, or school-based credentials) or certification/licensure as an SLPA
- Experience working with children in early childhood to elementary school classrooms (PreK-6th grade)
- Familiarity with school-based therapy models and collaboration with educational staff
- Ability to implement individualized treatment plans and conduct assessments to support students’ communication needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills to maintain records and engage with teachers, parents, and school personnel
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services on-site according to students’ IEP goals
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and academic success
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant school and legal guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as needed
