Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Dearborn, Michigan

This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Dearborn, MI. The role focuses on supporting students through comprehensive evaluations, therapy, and collaboration with educational teams to foster effective communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Conducting Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) assessments
• Performing detailed student evaluations to identify speech and language needs
• Attending meetings with educators, parents, and other professionals to coordinate services and develop intervention plans
• Providing direct speech-language therapy services for students
• Managing caseload efficiently within a 7-hour workday, 5 days a week

Desired qualifications and experience include:

• Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings, ideally K-12
• Familiarity with healthcare-related speech therapy practices is a plus
• Strong knowledge of IEP and MET development and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
