Provide specialized speech-language pathology services across multiple school locations in the Deland, FL area, supporting students' communication needs through tailored assessments and interventions.

Location:

  • Primarily serving Ormond Beach Elementary (3 days) and Pine Trail Elementary (1 day) in Ormond Beach, FL
  • Additional coverage at Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, FL (4 days)
  • Travel between sites required
  • Position currently 4 days per week with plans to transition to 5 days next year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy to students in compliance with school district requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to clinical fellows (CFs), if applicable
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in regular meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree with willingness to work under a temporary teaching certificate may be considered for the current year (SLPA license holders not accepted)
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Ability to travel between assigned school sites consistently
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract end date: June 5, 2026
