A K-12 school located in Detroit, MI, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for the upcoming school year under a contract role. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with experience or certification in pediatrics, Schools SLP, or a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP dedicated to school-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students in grades K-5.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 45-55 students, providing individualized therapy based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student communication development.
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with school and district policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred.
  • Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings strongly desired.
  • Completion or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) program is acceptable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a sizable student caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.

Work Schedule:

  • Elementary school hours: 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
