Apply NowThis full-time position supports Preschool and Elementary students in a K-12 school setting located in Detroit, MI. The role involves providing Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services throughout the academic school year, focusing on early childhood and elementary populations.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy to students in preschool and elementary grades.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilizing teletherapy platforms when necessary to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed clinical documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Providing support to students with diverse communication needs, including pediatric and healthcare-related speech disorders.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Eligibility for or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience working in school settings with preschool and elementary-aged children.
- Skilled in teletherapy service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
