A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 school setting in Dexter, ME. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working with a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on delivering quality pediatric and educational speech-language therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to K-12 students’ speech and language needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapy interventions addressing a range of communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings, particularly within schools.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders within educational contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff.
