This contract position, located in Downingtown, PA, offers a full-time opportunity working with K-12 students. You will be providing center-based speech-language pathology services, primarily addressing aggressive behaviors and autism with appropriate support in place. The assignment begins in early May and extends through June 9, with a high likelihood of an Extended School Year (ESY) extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to K-12 students with a range of communication needs.
  • Manage a caseload that includes students exhibiting aggressive behaviors and autism, ensuring appropriate therapeutic strategies.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and support personnel to tailor interventions in a center-based setting.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license or certification (SLP - CCC preferred).
  • Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and effective intervention techniques.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
