An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students during the extended school year in a vibrant school setting. This role focuses on providing crucial communication services to elementary students, fostering their educational development from PreK through 5th grade.

Location: Sag Harbor, NY (Long Island Area)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language assessments, developing appropriate intervention plans for students.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services, ensuring comprehensive support.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance students' overall communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
  • Implement effective communication strategies tailored to individual student requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active or pending New York state SLP license.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, though not required.
  • ASHA certification is a plus, highlighting a commitment to professional standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse population.
