School Speech Language Pathologist - El Cajon, California

A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work full-time at an elementary school in El Cajon, CA. This position serves students in grades TK-5, including those receiving speech services through IEPs and moderate/severe special day classes.

Key Details:

• Location: El Cajon, CA
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM
• Contract Dates: August 5, 2024 – June 12, 2025
• Caseload: Approximately 46 students
• Population Served: TK-5 students requiring speech therapy and MS SDC students
• Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language pathology services aligned with student IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and write reports documenting progress and needs
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
• Adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs within an elementary school setting

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate eligible
• Experience working with early childhood and elementary populations preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply and will have a strong advantage
• Open to supporting Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) if needed
• This position is on-site; teletherapy or hybrid arrangements are not available
