Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists seeking an opportunity to work with elementary school students in the area of El Monte, CA!
Soliant has partnered with local school and is seeking part- or full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologists to support K-6 students with mild-moderate needs. Additional information about the District, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- California Speech-Language Pathology License
- Clinical Fellows must have an active RPE in order to be considered for this position, owing to processing times with the California Board of Speech and Hearing
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Report findings, and propose appropriate support as part of the IEP (Individual Education Plan) process
- Present student goals and IEPs to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
