This position offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed or qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) professional to provide essential support services in a middle and high school setting. Located in Elgin, IL, this contract role runs from August 2025 through May 2026, with orientation beginning August 4 and 5, and the first student day on August 6. This full-time role encompasses 37.5 hours per week, working across two schools to support student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
- Modify tasks or environments to meet individual student needs.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate.
- Deliver clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations.
- Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations.
- Collaborate effectively with parents and team members to discuss student progress and support requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or qualify for an Illinois state license in speech-language pathology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
