In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders. You’ll foster a supportive learning environment that helps students develop the skills they need to thrive in and beyond the classroom.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active license (or eligibility) to work as an SLP in the state
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferred
  • Ability to administer speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
  • Willingness to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students according to IEP goals
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify speech/language needs
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and communicate outcomes to families and staff
  • Offer guidance and resources to educators to support classroom communication strategies
  • Attend meetings and engage in ongoing professional development
