A K-12 school located in Elk River, MN, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students throughout the academic year on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment serving diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students across all grade levels (K-12).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct speech and language assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly to achieve educational goals.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with K-12 students.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders commonly found in pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Location: This role is based in Elk River, MN, serving a K-12 school community. The position also involves collaboration opportunities in nearby Cambridge, MN, approximately one hour north of Minneapolis.
