A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Fairfield, CA, serving a K-12 educational setting. This contract position runs through the normal school year (NSY) and offers flexible full-time or part-time schedules. The role primarily focuses on supporting students from pre-kindergarten through elementary grades.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech and language assessments to children with a variety of communication disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and educational standards
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and facilitate communication
- Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary discussions regarding student needs
Qualifications desired:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or currently in Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CF)
- Experience or certification in school-based speech therapy (SLP-School)
- Strong skills in evaluating and treating speech and language disorders in young children, particularly preschool and elementary-aged students
- Ability to work on-site within the school environment
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to engage with students, families, and educational teams
