A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Grass Valley, CA, offering a contract position for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting children with speech and language disorders in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in children.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to meet individual student needs.
- Provide engaging therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language skills.
- Carefully monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation of each student's development.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare providers, and other team members to deliver integrated care.
- Involve and educate families in the therapeutic process to support student progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California.
- Preference given to candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly valued.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for team collaboration and family engagement.
- Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative member of a multidisciplinary team.
To be eligible:
- Must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in California.
- Must have completed or be in the process of completing a Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
