A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to serve Preschool and Elementary School students within a K-12 educational setting in Grosse Pointe, MI. This role focuses on providing essential speech and language support to young learners, ensuring their communication skills develop effectively during critical early years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool and elementary-aged children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Deliver therapy services in-person and via teletherapy platforms as appropriate.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to goal-setting processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working within healthcare, pediatrics, or school-based settings, including clinical fellowship year (CFY) completion preferred.
- Skilled in teletherapy service delivery.
- Comprehensive understanding of speech and language development from early childhood to elementary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and team members.
