Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting PreK–8th grade students as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist. This full-time role offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children while working alongside a collaborative educational team. You'll guide and empower a diverse caseload of 40–50 students, helping them reach their communication and learning goals throughout the academic year.
Your schedule will be structured from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week. The contract spans the full school year, beginning August 18, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027.
Qualifications and Experience:
- State of Connecticut Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates eager to launch their school-based careers
- Experience or interest in working with PreK–8th grade populations
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services for a caseload of 40–50 elementary school students
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and track student progress
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate strategies in and out of the classroom
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
