This position offers an opportunity for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential speech and language services in a K-12 educational setting. Serving multiple schools within the district, this role supports students across the full grade span, facilitating their communication development and academic success.
Location: Hampden, ME
Schedule: August 25 – June 11
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Assignment: Contract, Non-School Year Renewal
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy for K-12 students across 3-4 different schools during the workweek.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-focused IEP development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and CCC credential.
- Experience serving K-12 students in educational settings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload across multiple school locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs.
