This opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) looking to contribute within an elementary school setting. The position involves supporting student development across two schools—a middle and a high school—in Hampshire, IL. This contract spans the 2025-2026 school year, providing a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, from August 6, 2025, through May 21, 2026, with orientation on August 4 and 5.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills
  • Modifying tasks and environments to support individual student needs
  • Conducting diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed
  • Preparing detailed reports based on thorough assessments and observations
  • Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
  • Collaborating with parents and educational staff to monitor student progress and identify areas for additional support

Required qualifications:

  • Must hold, or be eligible to hold, an Illinois state license as an SLP
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude to address diverse student needs
