A contracted position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) to serve a K-12 school in Hampton, VA. This role is ideal for professionals who are experienced in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students across K-12 grades.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student learning and development.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote communication skills and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Experience working in school settings with the K-12 population.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language developmental milestones and disorders.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads and organize treatment plans efficiently.
