A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in Hanford, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student communication development throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes
- Provide consultative services to teachers and staff to support speech and language development in the classroom setting
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience preferred
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of current speech-language assessment tools, therapy techniques, and special education laws
