A K-12 school in Hayward, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY), with an ASAP start date. This position offers the opportunity to provide critical speech and language support to students, fostering their communication skills and academic success in a dynamic educational environment.

Key qualifications include:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year status (SLP-CFY), or valid School SLP credential
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy plans for speech and language disorders
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for a diverse student population
  • Develop and implement treatment plans designed to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as needed to ensure ongoing development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide support and guidance to students and their families regarding communication strategies
