A K-12 educational institution located in Hayward, CA, is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year contract. This role requires a commitment of 0.8 full-time equivalent, primarily serving elementary-level students across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with federal and state guidelines regarding student care.
- Provide support and guidance to Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including sharing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist Certification (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY) with experience in school settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working across multiple school sites is preferred.
- Eligibility to supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants.
