A K-12 school district located in Helotes, TX is seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for contract positions covering maternity leave. Assignments are available for the current school year (CSY) at two elementary campuses, supporting a diverse student population in need of speech therapy services.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy to K-12 students
- Supervising an SLP Assistant to support caseload needs
- Preparing and participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Delivering services predominantly in person, with virtual teletherapy options considered
- Managing caseloads ranging from approximately 50 to over 95 students
Campus assignments and timelines:
- Silos Elementary: February 1 to April 30; supporting 95+ students and supervising an SLP Assistant
- Potranco Elementary: Estimated March 10 to May 30; caseload around 50 students, with part-time support welcomed under supervision
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy with K-12 populations
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with SLP Assistants
- Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery is a plus
- Strong organizational skills for ARD preparation and documentation
