A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Houston, TX for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for a licensed and certified SLP looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting through specialized support for young students with communication needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credentials
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is highly preferred
- Experience working in elementary education environments
- Strong understanding of speech and language development in children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Provide direct speech therapy services to elementary-aged children in both individual and group settings
- Maintain detailed documentation, progress notes, and reports as required
- Participate in meetings with educators and families to support student progress and communicate therapy goals
- Adapt therapy approaches to align with educational standards and classroom routines
