A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide comprehensive support to middle school students. This contract position offers full-time hours, working 7.5 hours per day, with a caseload of approximately 60 students. The role is based in Houston, TX, and requires an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for middle school students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address students’ communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide teletherapy services as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with caseload management and participate in team meetings.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current certification as an SLP or SLPA, with experience working in school settings.
- Familiarity with working with middle school-aged children.
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 60 students effectively.
- Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff.
