This position requires a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a school setting serving students in grades K-5. The role involves working with a center-based program dedicated to students with intellectual disabilities, some of whom use assistive communication devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
  • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with educators and parents.
  • Deliver direct and indirect speech therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP.
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably those with intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to use and integrate assistive communication devices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations regarding IEPs.

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, five days per week.
  • Located in Hudson, Colorado.
  • Contract position.
