A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Huron, CA, serving K-12 school students. This contract-to-hire position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the chance to work within a dynamic educational environment focused on student speech and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide targeted therapy sessions aimed at achieving specific speech and language goals
- Monitor and document student progress meticulously to track improvements and adjust plans accordingly
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and other professionals to support student success
- Engage and educate families to promote participation and understanding in the therapeutic process
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
