This position is tailored for dedicated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students. Located in Oneonta, NY, this role focuses on serving a diverse student population primarily composed of elementary and some high-school learners. The schools are conveniently situated just a two-minute walk apart, promoting seamless collaboration with faculty and staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in SLP
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Experience working with children, preferably in educational settings
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws
Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services addressing speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications
- Track student progress and adjust therapy plans as required
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Offer consultation and resources for parents and caregivers
