A K-12 school is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support early childhood students in a contract position for the current school year. This role focuses on providing in-person speech therapy services to Pre-K and Kindergarten students, delivering targeted intervention designed to meet individual communication needs.

Position Details:

  • Location: Milan Elementary School, Milan, TN
  • Schedule: Four days per week, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch and time allocated for planning and assessment)
  • Caseload: Approximately 30 to 35 students primarily in Pre-K and Kindergarten
  • Contract Duration: Beginning immediately, through the 2025–2026 school year, with potential to extend
  • Service Delivery: In-person therapy only; teletherapy is not applicable for this position

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as an SLP (CCC, Pediatric or CFY) or SLPA, with relevant experience in pediatric or school settings
  • Strong skills in early childhood speech-language assessment and intervention
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining detailed progress documentation
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth
  • Knowledge of developmental speech and language milestones in young children

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy services to children in Pre-K and Kindergarten
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on students’ needs
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant educational and professional standards
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to support holistic student development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress reporting
