A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time, contract position supporting K-12 students in a school setting. This role is ideal for candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish and eager to provide speech and language services across multiple school sites within a close radius.
Location:
- Jersey City, NJ
- Work across three schools: two elementary schools and one middle school, all within a two-mile distance
Schedule and Caseload:
- Full school year contract
- 6.5-hour days, Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 3:00 PM)
- 32.5 hours per week, with flexibility for part-time candidates
- Four days spent at the elementary schools and one day at the middle school
- Caseload of approximately 30 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and deliver therapy services tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track progress and maintain detailed documentation as per school and state guidelines
- Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate interventions for bilingual students
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent credentials
- Experience working in healthcare, pediatrics, or school-based settings preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) desirable
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish required
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently across multiple locations
