A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time, contract position supporting K-12 students in a school setting. This role is ideal for candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish and eager to provide speech and language services across multiple school sites within a close radius.

Location:

  • Jersey City, NJ
  • Work across three schools: two elementary schools and one middle school, all within a two-mile distance

Schedule and Caseload:

  • Full school year contract
  • 6.5-hour days, Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 3:00 PM)
  • 32.5 hours per week, with flexibility for part-time candidates
  • Four days spent at the elementary schools and one day at the middle school
  • Caseload of approximately 30 students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and deliver therapy services tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Track progress and maintain detailed documentation as per school and state guidelines
  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate interventions for bilingual students

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent credentials
  • Experience working in healthcare, pediatrics, or school-based settings preferred
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) desirable
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish required
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently across multiple locations
