Job Type Contract

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting. This contract role starts in October and is expected to last for at least 12 weeks, covering a maternity leave. The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM.

Location: Johnston, Rhode Island
Duration: Minimum 12-week contract
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 12th grade

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and clinical services.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide consultation to staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP.
  • Experience working with children across a range of ages and developmental levels in educational settings.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently.
