A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to serve K–8 students in an elementary school setting in Joliet, Illinois. This contract opportunity begins December 1, 2025, and continues through the remainder of the academic school year. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to support student communication development and academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, addressing speech and language needs.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify communication challenges.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other service providers to monitor and promote student progress.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and required reports accurately.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois SLP license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions to individual student needs.
