A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Keller, TX. This contract role offers an opportunity to work throughout the school year (CSY) providing essential speech and language support to students.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. The SLP will also maintain detailed records, monitor progress, and adjust therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC)
- Experience or familiarity with speech-language pathology services in school settings (SLP - School)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP - CFY) completion preferred or in progress
- Background in pediatric speech-language pathology (SLP - Pediatrics)
- Knowledge of healthcare practices related to SLP (SLP - Healthcare)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with K-12 students and educational teams
