A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a full semester contract in a K-12 school setting located in Kenai, AK. This role requires dedication to providing high-quality speech and language services to students across the grade spectrum, helping support their communication development and academic success.
Key qualifications and desired credentials include:
- SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience working with children in a school-based setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies appropriate for K-12 students
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet student needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Support compliance with special education regulations and protocols
