A dynamic opportunity exists for a skilled professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position is located in Renton, WA, where the focus will be on providing essential speech-language pathology services to enhance student communication and learning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state license and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various speech and language disorders and their treatment
- Commitment to collaborating with educators, parents, and other specialists
Location:
Renton, WA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual students
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech-language intervention
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Participate in faculty meetings, contributing to a supportive educational environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and outcomes
- Engage with families to ensure continuity of care and support outside of school
