Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Metlakatla, Alaska

This role is crucial for supporting the diverse communication needs of approximately 50-60 students, particularly within the K-3 or K-6 grade levels. The position is based in Metlakatla, AK, and runs from August 25 until the end of the school year.

Qualifications:

• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC)
• Experience in pediatric speech therapy and teletherapy
• Familiarity with AAC devices and their integration in therapy
• Previous work experience in Alaska is preferred
• Valid state and educational (Type C) SLP license

Location:

• Metlakatla, AK

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
• Utilize appropriate therapy techniques and materials, including AAC devices
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress
